ToolsFree.io ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at https://toolsfree.io. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Data Controller

1. Information We Collect

Automatically collected:

  • IP address - Used to provide the core functionality of our IP lookup tool. Your IP is sent to a third-party geolocation API (ip-api.com) to retrieve location and network data.
  • Browser information - User agent, screen resolution, language, timezone, and connection type. Collected client-side only to display in the Browser Fingerprint section. This data is not stored on our servers.
  • Speed test data - Download/upload speeds, ping, jitter, and loaded latency. Measured between your browser and our server. Not stored after the session ends.

We do NOT collect:

  • Personal names, email addresses, or contact information
  • Cookies for tracking purposes
  • Account or login data (no accounts exist)

2. Third-Party Services & Advertising

We use the following third-party services:

  • ip-api.com - IP geolocation data. Subject to their privacy policy.
  • Google AdSense - We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this website. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to ToolsFree.io and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.   • Google Analytics - We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled to understand website traffic and improve our services. Analytics cookies are only loaded after you provide consent. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Maps - Embedded map to show approximate IP location. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

3. Affiliate Links

We may display affiliate links to VPN providers. If you purchase a product through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are clearly marked with rel="sponsored".

4. Cookies

We do not set first-party tracking cookies. We do store your consent choices in first-party browser storage so we can remember them between visits. 5. Data Retention

We do not store your IP address, speed test results, or browser information on our servers. All data displayed is fetched in real-time and exists only in your browser session.
